I Didn't Pick-Up the Lucky Coin Because...

...I am scared to be contaminated. This morning, I went to an ATM and saw a peso coin on the street. Due to this killer virus., I brushed off the idea of having a lucky coin. I think carefully before deciding since I don't want to regret it later. Thus, I ignored picking it up. If you were in my situation, are you going to pick it up? Image Credit: en.numista.com

I would have picked it up. I continue to find coins during this pandemic, and I leave none on the ground. lol

Perhaps I will bring a pair of gloves next time. Then, I can pick all the coins on the street.

@Shavkat That might be a good idea. Or just carry hand sanitizer.

@Shavkat I thought I saw money on the ground and decided not to pick it up either because of this virus. I do not know who lost it and if they had clean hands or not.

At that time, it is not an option for me to pick it up. We have the same flow of thoughts about it.

@Shavkat I believe we have the same flow about other things too besides picking up money we saw on the ground right now.

@Hannihar If I have a pair of gloves, I might do it. But then, I don't usually use them when going out.

The way things are now I would not have picked it up. I guess we have picked up the fear of what is going on more than anything.

@Shavkat There is a lot more rubbish around too hence there are more street cleaners as well that pick it up with special gear on.

Before the pandemic, the kids and I always picked up the coins we found. But not anymore. In fact, on our walk yesterday, my son saw a quarter along a low wall yesterday . . . it was tempting but he knew not to even touch it.

@Shavkat Right. Having a free coin is not worth catching the virus!

He is a smart boy. I did not take time for me to decide. I am scared that it will be a bad consequence for picking it up and keep it.

Now, I know if you were in my situation. My mind will not be blank if it is paper money.

Of course I won't take it because I don't believe in luck, everything exists for a reason and these reasons are bigger than just luck. And also because of this pandemic I limited myself to holding any objects scattered in public lol

Same here. I cannot even hold the handrails in the public.
