When I Got Raped

when i got raped i was 12 years old and it was by a 2 stranger actually, these men were maybe 40 or 50 or maybe in-between. it was one of the worse nights of my life. i took a year before i told anyone what happened and when i did people started asking questions like:
were you drunk?
what were you wearing?
did you scream?
why now after such a long time?
people also said
that man will never do that
you have no proof
men will be men
that's a funny story, who train you?
you never said no
sorry we can't actually believe you.
the sad was after i heard what everyone had to say, i never brought it up again,
those men have children and it hurts talking about this because it's one of the reasons i don't want a child, it would kill me if I'm unable to protect that child when they need me.
i guess life happens, i'm getting stronger by the day,i just wish they were in jail.
but my question is why?
why do they do it?
