It sounds terrible to experience color blindness, especially when you are a kid. It happens to me and until now. The worst part when I am having practical exams in my Anatomy classes. The teachers usually use pins with colors. I cannot distinguish the colors when pinned to cadavers.
I sometimes double my answers when taking this kind of exam. The course of action is to make high marks on my written exams to compensate for the low scores.
Do you know somebody who is like me?
How can he or she cope up with this eye condition?

Even I am color blind. I see people as people not black or white or brown

I never met anyone to be honest, so what does it look like ? Black and white or grey. I heard dogs can see colors but everything is like blue to them or something like that. Is it the same for you. Maybe you just see green or something.. A red ball is purple to Brooklyn and Kai absolutely loves the color purple, it makes sense if all they see is blues . I just read they also see yellow as another dominant color.

@crossbones27 I sometimes interchange blue with purple or violet. That's quite hard for me.

Did you not tell your teacher that you are color blind? You should have told her so she could find a way to give you a separate exam not involving colors.

@sunrisefan It was a hard time. But it is fine because I graduated and overcame the challenges.

My husband has color blindness. It's mild and it's only few colors that he messes up with. He was not aware of his situation till he applied for one defense related post and was declined the job due to his condition.

I had a friend who's colour blind in middle school. She couldn't differentiate red and green. I don't know what happened to her now. I hope she can stay safe as we colour in lots of things in our daily life. We even use colour at the traffic light.
