Fudge! (& sausage balls)

Is what I made earlier...
It's a keto fudge with just almond butter and lilly's semi sweet chocolates. I did add less than a teaspoon of vanilla extract (the GOOD kind) and just a pat of butter to help keep things smooth. I licked the spatula and so I know it will be tasty.
I'm going to go check it in a bit to see if it's firm enough for me to cut and store it. Thirty minutes after I put it in the fridge I took it out to score the fudge so it will be easier to cut out.
I'm making keto sausage balls again today and I bought dill dip to dip them in. I will make enough so that I can have leftovers later.
Oh & based on the recipe, the keto fudge will be like 2 net carbs per 1 inch serving.

What exactly is Keto anyway? How does it help someone lose or maintain weight, or is it just a health thing?

I still have a lot to learn about keto but it's a low carb diet that helps people knock out inflammation, lose weight.. It's recommended for those who are diabetic. A friend of mine is own it and his A1C is improving and he's lost maybe 30 lbs since he's been on it.

@moffittjc Lucky you. I had to cut back on processed foods too when I started this, but I honestly dont' crave those things anymore.

@ScribbledAdNauseum He mentioned processed foods as well. There was a list he gave me, and when he was going over the list with me, one of the things he mentioned was cake. I told him that was a dealbreaker. Nobody takes my cake away from me. He laughed and said if I cut out the majority of the other stuff on the list I could keep eating cake.
If you ever want the key to my heart, bring me a cake. It's my weakness lol

I had a piece of it and loved it. It's not overly sweet so if you like sweet then keep that in mind. I just used lilly's semi sweet chocolate chips.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Well I like very sweet lol....but with the milk chocolates from them it might be sweeter. I saw a recipe using their chips and sugar free condensed milk. Might make that if I can learn to make the sweetened condensed milk - I have that recipe in the low carb cookbook I got last year

@MommyOfEli2013 I saw a recipe for keto sweetened condensed milk too but I can't remember exactly what it entailed. It seemed simple enough though. You're right, the milk chocolates are sweeter.

So true! It wouldn't surprise me if I didn't start the keto sausage balls early!
