I Hate It....But I Love It

Normally I’d be on here complaining about how much I hate this. The left eye gushing water like only half of my face could cry. Niagara Falls coming out of my nose and my throat. Checking the siding of my house to see if I sneezed any of it loose. Right now, however, I love it. You see, the “experts” (ha ha) tend to agree that there is one symptom of a cold that is not present with covid: sneezing. I have to explain this: I am not a dainty sneezer. I don’t act like a southern belle, turning my head slightly and giving an almost whispered “choo” over my finger. No, I’m more of a “here’s the wind-up and the pitch,” 98-MPH fastball “ha-CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!” sneezer. No joke: I caused a hairline fracture in a rib from sneezing so much. (Oh, I guess I should emphasize it was one of my ribs. ) But sneezing, according to the World Health Organization and the CDC and all the other “medical experts,” has nothing to do with covid. So I’ll “enjoy” my misery, knowing that it is just a head cold. Oh, wait...can you have covid and a head cold simultaneously?????? Oh, and this is responding well to the “standard treatments” of rest, Zicam (I swear by that stuff, honestly, it’s the absolute best cold medicine I’ve ever found for me!), rest, chicken soup, rest, liquids, and did I mention rest? Of course, the common cold is a corona virus..... Guess getting any kind of sniffle, cough, or anything these days will make you paranoid......
