I felt like an air head at my Dr appointment!

I just had my yearly mammogram at my local hospital, which I do every year, since women over forty should and my insurance pays for one a year. As I said I have done this for years and it has always been that once I check in, I go wait in the radiology department. Well today, the check in girl said another waiting room to go to. I thought she said to go to the radiology waiting room. So I walk there. They tell me I came to the wrong waiting room. So as I am walking to the right waiting room, I see the same check in girl and I feel so embarrassed. Because she looks at me in a way like didn't you understand where I told you to go? The whole rearranging of waiting rooms is due to Covid 19. I should have realized that would change things. I got my mammogram. But I still feel like an air head.

I am skipping this year, I have no intention to go to the hospital, it's full of Covid patients.... mammogram can wait a few months.

Don’t feel bad. Even without Covid, I would wind up in the wrong room.

It's easy to follow a familiar pattern. I had a mammogram last week. I will go again in two years. They are free here.

It happens sometimes the hospital staff should understand. Good that you got your mammogram done.

@LeaPea2417 That is nice that your insurance pays for your mammogram. She did not have to be rude to you. You are not an air head.

No need to feel like an airhead. It can be confusing finding your way around a hospital
