Organizing Old Photos

Are you easily get distracted? I am and sometimes it made me annoyed with myself. At least, I have done some decluttering today on our PC.
Two hours ago, I wanted to write a discussion on Mylot. I wanted to add a photo of my homemade Christmas cake that I have made years ago. I went to my files on our PC and searched for the year 2015. I couldn´t find it. Instead, I found photos that should be in one file but were scattered around.
I couldn´t resist and made new files and organized them into topics. I forgot Mylot then and spent 2 hours organizing the photos. They were not mine but my hubby's photos. He is a hobby photographer and an artist. Later, when I have time, I have to teach him how to do it. It sounds that I know more than him when it comes to organizing.
Anyway, I am done now and I have to clear my notifications before I go to bed. Tomorrow, I will be busy baking Christmas cakes and brownies. I'll come here on Mylot when I can. Thanks for reading.

An orange chiffon cake sounds delicious and I love the way you've decorated this.
I try to keep as few photos and files on my laptop as possible. Maybe you can teach him how to upload the photos to the cloud and organize them there?

It is delicious. I love eating it when I make it. My friend told me to put My First Love on that cake.
We don´t like to put our photos on the cloud. Thanks @ScribbledAdNauseum

awesome cake - i find my picture organization system needs to be checked every year now. So many pictures, so many folders and even though we finished scanning four years ago, so many pictures in the wrong folder!

@thelme55 we have the same issue, drives me nuts. I also have7 folders that have 1200 pictures each that are just labeled untitled!

Sometimes that same thing happens to me too. I am used to doing multi tasking when I was still working. I am practicing it until now but with some chores added sometimes I forgot what I was doibg first hahaha
like when I am on myLot. My goal first is to check notifications but when an interesting article or discussion captures my attention I end up respondibg to it first.

I sometimes get so focused on a project like the one you mentioned I can spend half the day on it leaving me no time left to do the other things I wanted to accomplish that day. Once I start I have to finish.
