Treated myself to some corn bread

I went to my local supermarket yesterday for some corn bread. It costs $5 there. I ended up leaving the store with about $47 worth of stuff. Good thing I actually remembered to get the corn bread. Sometimes I go to the store for something and I get everything but the very thing I went to the store for in the first place.
I love the corn bread from there. But since I don't have it often I don't mind paying $5 for it. It's pretty big. And I overlook all the stuff that's in the ingredients. Actually, I don't even read it. It's a very long paragraph of stuff... If I read it it would probably turn me off from eating it.

What do you mean by "you are not having Christmas Lena are you"? I don't celebrate Christmas as I'm Jewish.

Yep. Thanks. I hope I get to enjoy tomorrow out of the house. Not sure what I will do though as it will be raining tomorrow. I'd go see a movie but movie theaters are closed here. I could maybe go ice skating but if it is raining that will not work.

And it's frustrating when that thing you forgot is something you really needed.

Yep. Thing is, at first I was okay with spending so much money but today I am not.

Is it baked cornbread? There are so many recipes you could make yourself without all those preservatives. I mostly fry cornbread which is super easy if you have the right corn meal.

I would think so. But not sure as it's store bought.

Buying yourself a treat is good. I am glad you didn't forget your main purpose in supermarket. I often do that. I buy everything except the one I really needed
