The Monkey's Tail: "It's So Pricey!"

This morning, I went out with my younger brother to hunt some plants in the city. Guess what? We found these 'monkey tail cacti.' The scientific name is 'Hildewintera Colademononis.' I cannot believe how pricey are they. The cost is ranging from Php 900 ($18.75) to Php 9, 000 ($187.46). So I just took a picture of them. Perhaps if there will be a buyer, then that's the time we will buy one or two. If you are a plant lover, would you buy a plant that costs an arm and a leg?

It looks like a real tail. My younger brother is persuading me to buy one. But I am still thinking about the idea.

@rakski I think it is the best option than letting the money sleep.

@Shavkat I agree with what you said, if there will be a buyer, then you can buy

They are pretty, but I will not spend that much for a plant. That way if I accidentally killed it I will not feel too bad. And yes, I have killed a cactus and aloe vera. But I still have my hardy plants with me, like the golden pothos, some type of air plant that I don't know the name, and a coin/money plant.

@Shavkat Come to think of it, if you have the time, space and green thumb, you can buy and sell plants like this.

@Raine38 I agree. I think my younger brother has a green thumb. But then, we do not have a spacious area here. It is the constraint that we need to consider.

I agree. It is better to be practical with this matter. I actually asked my younger brother to take photos of these plants that are so pricey. If someone wants them, then that's the time he can buy them.

I guess it is not common to be seen in every garden here. That's the reason why it is quite expensive. It is also my first time to see them.

I will just take my time to earn money for this. It's a good gift for someone who is a plant lover.

No, unless it was a fruit tree for the yard.

For the practical side, I go with you. It is better to have trees that can bear fruits in the yard.

In our current situation, it is ideal to plant edible plants.
