Counting down from a year that was.

Earlier today, my daughter and I watched 'Death to 2020' on netflix, a mockery of the year that brought misery and death to many. It was a documentary actually, highlighting the craziness of personages in the limelight, specifically leaders who know not how to lead.
We had a good laugh, an act that seemed necessary. We had to let it out, the recapitulation embodied how we felt, only, when the unfortunate events were transpiring, it was inappropriate to laugh.
The documentary is recommended for tonight, as we near the countdown for a new year.
In the hours as we sing the traditional Scottish hymn 'Auld Lang Syne,' let us wish one another SHALOM.
I am grateful 2020 happened.

Nope, I didn't know that the composer was Italian. That's really interesting, considering I've been singing this beloved song every 31 December since way back when.
Thanks for telling. I like trivia.
Here's a blessed New Year to you and your better half. Shalom!

@LadyDuck This is the best trivia I had this New Year's Day. Thank you. I will sing the hymn again after I watch the news.
Happy New Year also to you and your better-half. It's your 50th Anniversary Year! Will pray for you each night.

@eileenleyva The music was composed by Davide Rizzio in the mid of year 1500. In 1792, the Scottish Poet Robert Burns used the melody and added the words to the song that became Auld Lang Syne.
Thank you and Happy New Year to you too. Aleichem Shalom!

Life is what you make it. The contagion Sir Isaac Newton was in isolated him from people yet that was the time he brought the about the 3 laws of motion. Ha ha
We just have to keep our grey cells active and be productive.

@eileenleyva I had a good laugh at it. My wife had watched it and it really was a funny parody about what had happened this year. Their production was really fast to pickup things as they were able to make it fast and as close to the current events.

2020 thus far is the most despicable time in history considering the blatant lying, fraudulent claims, deliberate malfeasance that caused innumerable deaths to many all around the world. The social malfunction has become worse than the contagion.
But yes, we all wish for a better year. Hopefully, 2021 ushers good tidings.

A few more hours and we'll be saying farewell to 2020 and welcoming 2021. Deep in my heart is a prayer for all mankind to heal, in whatever malady we've been in. Let 2021 usher good tidings for all, especially the children who need to see a beautiful world.
