Another stimulus check is on the way

For most Americans that pay taxes. I know if you get paid under the table and don't pay taxes you won't get any. There's probably a cut off for those with higher adjusted gross income but I don't know that for sure.
It's the amount nameless showed on a recent link about a bill trying to get passed. Six hundred dollars per person. For me that's a decent amount as I'm still working and paying off debt. For those in non essential jobs that's not much.
I know it's on the way because it's already pending in my bank account to arrive on Monday for us anyway.
I'll be able to pay my last loan payment early and the rest I'll save to make sure no unexpected repairs are needed through the winter before applying it toward more bills.

Still waiting here. There is a possibility we will get more since the 600 was immediately passed but the rest is up for a final vote. We will see but some is better than nothing.

Some is better than nothing, I agree. One bank shows what's pending the other does not. That's how I know. At first I thought my ssc check was early but it was also higher, then I realized what it was.

It's not a cut and dried answer. Grocery stores are essential along with all the trucks that bring the food into the stores. Restaurants and bars are non essential and closed for inside dining although for many they still do take out.
Construction was shut down for a while but they can work now. Some stores had their fashion areas roped off but it store didn't. Each area has their own definition and what fits into it which makes it more confusing sometimes.

@vandana7 everyone gets one if they pay taxes and make less than 75,000 per year.
People that work noon essential jobs might need it more than those still working. For me the money just a blessing and will be useful but not necessarily a need for my survival.

Mine will too in the long run, unless we can afford one more chair but that will depend on how we do playing bills over the winter months.

@kobesbuddy I'll just pay off the loan and maybe last of the months bills early so I can get a head start on those in the new year. I've been doing that a little already so it shouldn't be too hard and then I can save all my checks and use only those going forward.
Any other purchased might wait until spring unless I begin working on painting my bathroom but that won't be for awhile either.

@MarshaMusselman We're not spending one dime, at this critical time.

Unfortunately this stimulus check does nothing to help anyone. I think the government owes it, though. THEY are the ones who decided to shut everything down. The best next stimulus is getting out the way of business and letting them open back up.

That would certainly be the better option. Right now we're on the road too socialism if things aren't put back to people working.

@MarshaMusselman I think many of these small businesses need to simply say no. Stand at their doors with shotguns and let anyone barge in and try to shut them down. When you impact my ability to survive, you better believe I will protect my right to survival...
Whatever it takes.

For us it's a decent amount of pocket change. At least until we get out refund.

@MarshaMusselman major corps snagged most 'f the funds with the 1st relief package - a certain major league baseball team comes to mind... 's with most government decisions, they didn't put proper restrictions nor guidelines. quite certain the same goes this round's well. 'tis quite oft the ones who know how to 'play the game' get the most, regardless if'n such's e'en needed.

That's a shame for sure none of it was needed all is the rest of the package was pork. I think that's the word used there. It would have been better to give some of that money to the small businesses forced to close from covid than all those other countries and places.

Trump was trying to eliminate the pork in the bill but I didn't hear whether he succeeded or not.
