Question: 'What do you do when you visit a place for the first time?'

It has been my practice that visiting a particular place for the first time is to go to its museum. For the reason that the museum has a diverse collection of artifacts about its place. Then, I will try their local foods and visit beautiful spots that it is well-known for. In addition, traveling alone can always be a great experience for me. I am being positive here with this matter. In time, we are going to travel freely. What great experiences have you had while traveling? Would you prefer traveling solo or in a group? I don't like to travel alone. When I used to travel, Pretty always went with me. To me, it is much more fun to learn new things with someone else.

@Shavkat When I traveled in the States and traveled here I had purposes for my travels. When I drove to places I liked to see the scenery and when went to Las Vegas I wanted to shop and play the slots and just enjoy being there so I would people watch.

If I have the chance, I also wanted to visit some parts of America. I do not have any regrets for not pursuing my career in America because I know that I have other missions to be done in my country. I am sure you had enjoyed your time being in this state.

I now only travel with my husband, but have taken group tours in certain foreign countries. The first thing we always do is explore the hotel and then the area in which the hotel is situated. We visit a museum in every city we go to, eat local cuisine, shop, and visit every site possible in the time we have. We always come home with a souvenir to remind us of the places we visit. We met a lovely woman in Italy traveling alone and have become very good friends.

The only group that I had traveled with are my colleagues when still working in a company. Moreover, I occasionally do this with my family members. Other than that, I travel solo. I also do the same thing in looking around the place being accommodated. Are you still connected with the lady from Italy?

I usually go first to the Tourist information first to get some brochures for later use. I am fond of going to the museum, eat the local food and drink the local drinks.

That's also a good idea to check things at the Tourist Information Office. In our country, it's only a few who have this though. Sometimes I read writings from bloggers or vloggers about a particular place.

@Shavkat Before I went traveling, I searched online a lot of information about the place I wanted to visit. The last time I traveled was in London and it was good that I got the information first at home to save time. After that travel, I wrote about it on Hubpages for people who want to visit London.

I think it is fine traveling in groups. The only disadvantage that I can see is having some limitations in staying in one place to another.

The first I do before going is researching. I would prefer to travel with my bff, because we have the same interest and it's easier to discuss whatever we discover. I also would love to try local delicacies as long as the food can be eaten in my religion.

Have you tried backpacking? I also do the same thing by researching the place before traveling. I wish I can have a travel buddy. Most of my friends are not here in my country now. They are working abroad at present.

I had a plan to start traveling last year but wasn't materialized. If ever I go on traveling again, for sure it would be with my husband and my children, I'll make sure that I would buy a good camera first. Then, find something from the place which I can keep as a souvenir, it can be a product made locally. I used to travel before bur mostly work related.

If I am not going to travel solo, I usually travel with my immediate family. It is nice to travel with the family. Last year, my family and I went to Imus. Cavite. We celebrated Christmas and New Year here.

Whenever we visited a new place for the first time, we go and check out the visitor's center. We want to plan our excursion and get any recommendations and suggestions from the locals.

It is a good idea to check some information about the place in a visitor center. Having a checklist or being organized is best when exploring a new place. One of the best parts is to mingle with the locals. We can able to know first-hand information from them.
