Bad Marketing

Sometimes you just see something that gives you a little giggle. Like this product I found on the shelf while shopping at Walmart yesterday. The product brand name is No Break. And if you look closely at the picture you will see that one of the advertised benefits of this product is that it is shatter resistant. What's more, if you look really close at this picture you will see that this product on display is also broken and shattered. So much for that...

Maybe there are shop customers who accidentally dropped it so that it was damaged, but did not tell the shop owner.

This may well have been what happened. Still...should it have broken and shattered considering it is unbreakable and shatter resistant? lol

So is this product really "no break"? The label says "shatter resistant base, lid, and locks." I guess that means other parts are breakable.

Good one! I'm surprised someone on the staff didn't notice and take it off the shelf. Happy New Year!

It's Walmart. You can study the theory of relativity thoroughly between the beeps at the checkout.

Marketing is not in the same department as sales. That's why this happened. But it's a good thing. At least you know it's definitely shattered.

Still, you would think if the manufacturer says it is not breakable...even the sales people would not be able to break it. lol

I can see someone in a meeting trying to figure out a creative way to call the product "Sometimes Breaks." lol

Usually when someone claims you can't do something, the opposite is true. lol

I think the product has been very tired of having no break/s and ended up broken. Most of the products won't live or delivered as the manufacturers promised but does work ironically.

I am sure something nefarious probably happened to this one, and truly is anything actually not breakable? Still, most things acknowledge they will eventually break. When you call yourself unbreakable and then break? That's a whole different story. lol

Hahaha, sounds like anti marketing just to attract people to see closely not to buy

Yeah. I am certain at least at this store, these won't be flying off the shelves any time soon. lol
