I can hardly believe that it's 2021. It seems like we were just waiting for the new Millennium. Had a surprise this morning. Our COVID checks have been deposited into our account. The $1,200 will help offset some of the repair costs of the other house. We still have the drywall for the bathroom leak to get done. My husband had a wonderful "pay-it-forward" experience. Our first ever! I have been telling him that I wanted to try the McRib sandwich from McDonald's. He went and bought three (boy are they expensive!). With fries, the bill came to $17.95! Boy was he surprised when the person in front of him paid the bill! What a wonderful gesture! By the way, the sandwich wasn't that good; and I wouldn't ever pay that much for it again. Have you ever had a "pay-it-forward" experience? Did you get your COVID checks deposited yet? Happy New Year! Photo Credit: Pixabay

I have never had a pay it forward experience, but recently someone handed my wife and my mom a $100 bill outside of Dollar General. As for the McRib, I actually DO like the sandwich. But they have gotten a bit too pricey, and while they are good, they are not "what they want to charge for it" good. Good to hear you got your money though, and hope you can get that house situation squared away sooner rather than later.

No, I don't think I ever have had a pay it forward experience myself but I have done it for others. The last time I checked our stimulus check had not been deposited.

The car in front of me paid my toll when I went to Pensacola Beach last February, so I paid for the car behind me. I’ve had a number of “pay it forwards,” and I’ve tried to pay it forward for others.

@FourWalls You should go out to see if your secret A/L follows you again or not Important -- Please carry a sanitizer and mask with you... And if they meet you, then ask them to go quarantine for 15days before touching you

I've been the recipient of a pay-it-forward experience, and the giver of one. It's always a great feeling. That was so nice that you finally got to experience it! I agree, the McRibs are not very good at all. No Covid check for me yet, but I remember after the first round went out last year, I got mine about a week after they started issuing them. So I'm expecting that mine will come to me sometime next week.

@moffittjc How are you doing ? I think it's a week for you now when you had that accident. So I am hoping you are doing fine and your ribbs are fine too! Sorry to be off-topic.

We don't qualify for the stimulus checks, but so happy you received yours. Yes, we have been treated by others and have been paying it forward before it was popular. I remember my husband paying for the dinner of a couple of American students in Paris. Someone did that to our son and his friend when they were studying abroad.

My COVID check as in my bank on Friday.. Last week I was walking across Walmart parking lot and since I forgot to (so I thought till later when I found it in another pocket) put a mask in one of my pockets I was taking a anointed hankie I had on me to use for face covering (as it works just as well) when a woman saw as she was getting in her car that I was trying to attached the hankie to my glasess and she gave me a zip lock bag with several face masks)

When someone does something nice for you, you are supposed to "pay it forward" and do something nice for someone else.

Congratulations! This is a big amount and would certainly help in one way or another. We don't have this kind of benefit in our country. Though being a government employee, we also receive some benefits. It's good to receive something beyond the salary. I don't experience someone pay the bill for me. Well, I do it for my sister most of the time.

Wow, that person is generous to pay the McDonald's purchase. I think the government here don't have much budget for all people. At least I got cash assistance back in April from the Social Security.

I asked hubby if the money came in yet and he said no. When it does come in he better give me my half. He didn't do that last time. Maybe he would've had I spoken up about it. But I shouldn't have to tell him...

My husband got his....I didn't get one though, nor did I get one on the first round. And a few times in the past someone else paid for our food. Last I remember was on our anniversary (the person didn't even know us or that it was our anniversary). But that's great about both for you! And sorry to hear the sandwich wasn't that good.

Well, at least he didn't have to pay for them. I would have been upset with him for paying $17.95 for 3 sandwiches and a couple of small fries.

Sometimes I have feeling like we who didn't lost jobs during Covid and we worked normally all time, are damaged. Some people get same almost same amount of money as it is my salary and they don't have to work.
