I do as well, I use a bread crumb coating and they come out so crispy every time.

Yum! Ours us michi or Japanese rice cakes with Japanese mustard greens. I make a shiitake soy sauce soup base and cook it up till the rice cakes melt. Been eating it for 3 days now. Got to eat up the Japanese mustard greens.
