Day 146
Promise 605
2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
Everyone has a weapon at their disposal. It is just as deadly as physical weapons. People use the tongue to lash out at one another, they manipulate, cajole, and force people to their will. Because the tongue is deadly, many people have committed suicide to get away from their attacker.
Psalm 5:9 For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulcher; they flatter with their tongue.
Paul told the Corinthians they had other weapons that weren’t carnal and didn’t destroy one another. Instead, their weapons struck down every evil thought and word and made it subject to God.
As Christians, you need to use your weapons wisely. Before you became a Christian, you might have used your tongue to destroy others. Your new weapons are the fruit of the Spirit.
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (KJV)
When you use the weapons of the Holy Spirit, you will find peace instead of chaos in your home.
You have another weapon at your disposal, prayer. When you employ prayer, you cause Satan and his legions of demons to tremble. They can’t stand against prayer.
Is there trouble in your home, pray, show kindness, unconditional love, and let the Holy Spirit change your home into one of peace and joy.
Let’s pray: Father, help me use the weapons of the Spirit against Satan when he comes against me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

I know that the Holy Spirit is our comforter but how do we use it as a weapon against the workings of Satan?
