Creative Writing Book Reccomendations

I have decided to change it up a little here for this post and share sone of my favorite books on writing, or autobiographies by favorite authors! The reference, plotting, and character arc books are references that I’ve found extremely helpful. 1:)Bird By Bird by Anne Lammott is part autobiographical part, advice, it was one I read when I was in College and I’ve worn through several copies since then, it’s an easy to read, book, and definitely one I would recommend to new writers! 2:) On Writing By Stephen King is more of an autobiographical book to me, but I find it extremely inspiring. 3:)A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway is a short biography about the authors time in Paris. 4:) Louisa May Alcott by Susan Cheever is in my opinion one of the most well done biographies on the author. 5:) Writing Mysteries by Susan Grafton was another extremely helpful book. 6:)The Writers Guide to Character Traits, is a helpful book as well. 7:) Save the Cat Writes the Novel by Jessica Brody is based on The Save the Cat Method for screenwriters, by Blake Snyder, the author adapted it for novelist and I highly recommend this one. 8:)Story Genius by Lisa Cron.
