Day 152
Promise 611
Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He said not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
Most promises have a time factor with them. People make promises to do something for another person at an appointed time.
God made a promise to Abraham and to his seed. Four hundred and thirty years later, God confirmed His covenant with Abraham through the law on Mount Sinai. The law then was confirmed through Christ Jesus when He died on the cross and rose again on the third day.
As Christians, many believe the law was done away with when Jesus died on the cross. Paul told the Galatians the law cannot be disannulled. If it could God’s promise of salvation would have no effect on the world.
God’s promises don’t have a time factor. They will continue until the world ends and Jesus returns.
Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (KJV)
Jesus will return when everything in the law is fulfilled.
Let’s pray: Father, help me wait for the fulfillment of Your promises and Jesus’ return. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

I've seen so many "Christians" who feel that because they are believers that they can sin all they want without repercussions, because they are saved.
