2021: Menu Planning January 3rd- 9th

I have ALWAYS written about food. From the beginning of my time writing online. Last year I did a series called " A year of Dinners" where I semi regularly wrote about what I made for dinner every night. This year, kind of keeping with the same theme I decided to do weekly menus. I meant to start it at the beginning of the year but I failed. But I have from the third on. So I only missed a couple of days. I don't usually get the whole week planned out until Wednesday and some weeks I just wing it. So you may not get to see our menu till the next week or end of the week. But maybe this year I'll be able to stay on top of posts a little better. (Doubtful) Anyway, here's what we ate the first week of 2021: Sunday January 3rd: French Toast, link sausage and mixed fruit. Monday January 4th: Plateful Chinese food Tuesday January 5th: The kids had McDonalds with grandma and the other half and I had Whataburger. Wednesday January 6th: BBQ ribs, bacon mac and cheese and cornbread Thursday January 7th: Cheeseburger Mac, crescent rolls and mandarin oranges Friday January 8th: We had leftover Panda Express and way too many Jaegerbombs. (What had happened was...the kids went to grandmas) Saturday: pizza We eat a lot of soul food/comfort food etc. But we also eat more than our fair share of pizza. Anyhoo! The bacon mac and cheese was something we hadn't made in forever. Usually we have a little more variety, but work has been kicking butt recently. So....lol. Did you try any new recipes last week? Stay tuned! I actually have this week already planned/written out to Thursday.

The bacon mac and cheese sounds delicious. I'm still doing keto but I could make it a keto bacon mac and cheese. We made air fryer chicken tendies and homemade chick fil a sauce last Saturday. Used pork rinds as the breading and it was fabulous.

I used to do Funyuns as breading on pork chops. Ribs, cheddar broccali pasta, mashed potatoes , crescent rolls and corn tonight.

They were good. We're having ribs again tonight. Because its cold, and we want comfort food lol.
