Looks can go a long way

If anyone tells you that looks don't matter they are lying. I have just been reading about a girl who sells her own bath water and has made millions of dollars. Delphine is a 19 year old social media star and the idea was inspired by her fans. I can guarantee if I decided to sell my bath water very few would want it .. and why .. because I am a 70 year old woman and don't have the stunning good looks of this little barbie doll. Oh well .. back to writing on MyLot to make a few cents.

You are so right here, the quality of what you sell is less important than your look now that everything is online.

I don't know if it would have taken off when we were young though. Would people have been interested in buying bath water?

If you sell it, you might find some moron with enough money and nothing better to do, to buy it.

@sprite1950 Not necessarilly. If you find/have a good enough product, as long as you charge a fair market value, and it's something people really want, you won't have to charge a high price. It's all about supply and demand. But, selling bath water.... uh... all I can say is e

I did think about it but I don't think it's my thing to be honest. You would have to charge a lot to cover overheads like packaging and posting.

what is in the bath water that makes it so appealing besides her looks?

Probably nothing, maybe a bit of perfumed oil but some men will buy all sorts of things if a girl is pretty, a bit like a souvenir.

There are so many solid examples of this, so I tend to agree with you. I even think back to that group, Millie Vannilli, or whatever it was, when they used stands ins because the actual singers were older and less good looking.

Some people are just obsessed. I never get them. What would I do with any of my favourite stars' bath water?

Anyone willing to buy someone elses used bathwater has to be seriously stupid. I feel the same way about women who, back in the day, relished catching those sweaty handkerchiefs that either Elvis or Tom Jones would throw at them, yuuuuuuccckkkkkie is all I can say.

@sprite1950 I am sorry that you feel at the age of 70 that no one would buy bathwater from you. It is sad that looks matter and not skills.
