Phoo ! I walked to the bus stop at the shopping center and got on the bus to go to the hospital for my mammogram appointment. I didn't know how long walking, etc. would take me, so I brought a book to read just in case I got there too early. I was on one of the older buses, looking at my book. The newer busses announce what stop you're getting near--evidently this older bus didn't. I saw a sign, and didn't think of it until we got a couple of blocks further down the road. I asked the bus driver, "Did we pass the hospital?" Bus driver: "Yep". Ugh. So I requested a stop, and not knowing what time it was, walked as fast as I could the two blocks back to the hospital. Of course when I got there (it turned out to be about 10 minutes before my appointment) I got asked all the usual questions: "Have you been out of the country?" "Have you had a fever?" "Have you..." When she got to: "Have you had any shortness of breath?" it was a bit funny because I was still panting a bit from walking so fast to get there. Anywhoo, I filled out a little paper, went into a room with a technician, and actually found the mammogram kind of relaxing, since all I had to do was stand there. That got done, I went across the street and waited about 15 minutes (?) for the bus going the other direction. Back at the shopping center bus stop I hopped the bus to go home. I was the only person on the bus, so I chatted with the bus driver, who I'm familiar with, rode home, walked the last couple of blocks home from the last bus stop, and now I am done. Needless to say, I got a bit of exercise in today. Now, I need to go find something to eat. Hope your day/evening/etc. has gone well in your part of myLot land !

Well, that's annoying. I find the shortness of breath question funny. Considering you power walked two blocks. Unless that's the norm for you, something would be wrong if you weren't somewhat out of breath. Good to know the return trip went smoother than the trip to the hospital.
