Toddlers Without Driver's Licenses

These cuties are my youngest granddaughters. They're my son's kids, ages four and two. We went to the park on Dec. 26th so they could drive their new vehicles! The four year old could accelerate and steer just fine. The two year old's jeep is powered and steered with a remote control, by an adult. It's a good thing too, because she was not paying attention to the road at all times! We enjoyed Spring-like weather in SW Missouri the day after Christmas. It was about 65F when we were at the park. It has snowed a couple of times since then, though. Photo is mine.

I would of really enjoyed having one of those powered vehicles when I was a kid. And I wouldn't have to worry about parallel parking, lol.

That is an adorable picture. Our son had a jeep when they first came out with them about 30 years ago, and he was only 2 years old, a remote control would have been nice. We only allowed him to drive it in the fenced-in backyard, and even then we were chasing right behind him even when it was only in low gear.

I always wanted a car like this, when I was a kid. Now my kids want one and I totally understand why my mom never got me one. Waaaaay too expensive. And you have to find a place to actually drive them. Looks fun, though!

I can imagine how high they are. I didn't get those for the kids, but now I'm curious and I'll look up the price. Thanks for your comment @Genipher.

My kids thought that the fun thing to do would be crash into one another whenever they were on their vehicles, not motorized back then but that didn't really matter.
