A Very Metaphorical Morning (MyLot Exclusive #323)

Normally, I disapprove of Winter...Kind of, because I also disapprove of Global Warming but that's a moral/ethical/scientific contradiction that we just don't have time to go into in this lifetime...but this morning when I went out on the deck to smoke...Isn't it funny how, just a few short years ago, I would be the villain in this story because I still smoke? Real, honest to gosh cigarettes, too, not those electronic vaper machines all you kids use. But I don't smoke inside anymore. I love nicotine but it is hard on computers. They last much longer if you confine your smoking to the great outdoors, but that, too, is another story we just don't have time for. Anyway, I was out there smoking and it occurred to me that the weather was a perfect metaphor for this day in history. It was around 35 degrees (That's 2 Centipedes), very calm and a light mist was falling---Not quite snow and not quite rain. You could clearly see it's still Winter but you could also see it was failing. On its way out to make way for Spring. Just like the United States, nature is preparing to take out the trash. Defund the fascists. And restore pleasantness to the world. Just six days from now. Actual Spring may take a bit longer but we will be feeling so good that we might not even notice the delay.

Hey I actually want to hear your story on second hand smoke and computers! I would have had no idea.

It's true. Smoke coats the wires and makes them brittle. Maybe I'll do a whole post on it someday.

@FayeHazel It would be the most fun, interesting thing you could do. With your pants on, anyway.

What a beautiful sight you are viewing, and the hope in your heart that there is still a rainbow at the end of the road we are tracking.

@xander6464 And let us two find the treasures because when I was young my grandma used to tell me there is treasure at the end of the rainbowuntil now I'm still hoping where the end of it is.

@macayada I've heard that, too. And why not? At the end of the rainbow is as good a place as any for treasure to be.
