Without Power Delay

I knew that on Sunday evening, there was another one hour power service interruption to happen again. But, I'm so occupied doing my thing in my desktop that I forgot about it. And then the power went off suddenly at 6. There were parts of what I encoded that I was not able to save. That means, I have to start from it again. Actually, the interruption did not last thirty minutes, not even half of the suppose duration. If I only have a power delay in my computer, it won't affect my work that time.

@ZedSmart I am sorry that you forgot about it and were not able to save it. That is a shame to have to start from the beginning.

@ZedSmart So does that mean you did not have to start all over again from the beginning?

I save few from the start as I'm saving it slowly but as I go by, I forgot to save the remaining until it went off. That's OK.

Hope you get to save your work next time. Plus, hopefully, there isn't any more power interruption.

We rarely to experience but it's for maintenance purposes that's why. During El Nino days, we have a rotational brown out everyday.

Next time you have to use a UPS which can store electricity for 2 hours.

@ZedSmart UPS can be used anywhere, if for home you should just use a laptop.

A power supply does not last long, unless you buy a very expensive one, it's from 5 to 10 minutes, the time to save your work and quit.

It's good to have a UPS, uninterrupted power supply or battery back up.

That's a bummer. Don't you have an auto-save feature in what you do?

Yes, At the start of my work, I save it from time to time but as it go by, I forgot to save the latest task that I encoded. I should have stop encoding before the power outage.

You're welcome. When I work at the computer, I'll save it from time to time when do it in Word or Excel because it has not auto save feature I think. Good thing, I save the other parts if not, I redo the whole doc.

ohhh damn... that's bad .. i work in designing software ... we constantly after an interval have to press ctrl+s to save . because if the file became heavy it can crash ... and your whole work will be deleted unless it saved .... So many time it happens to me .... i keep on designing without saving and rest is history haha ...

Sometimes, even if we're aware of it, there were moments that we can't save immediately.
