We have the pen of our pet rooster Gamma converted to an enclosed garden where we sow seeds and we also have some baskets that need protection.
Each time I pass by this garden I feel I see our pet. 12 years is a long time to be associated with a pet

That's very true. All of my cats have lived 18 years, with the exception of a few who lived a few years longer. One of whom made it to 22.

@allknowing Yeah, I know. Normal for most indoor-only cats. But, still.

You didn't get a new pet after Gamma?

I have realised the folly of keeping hens as pets . Their comb grows and interferes with their eating and also they too get diseases such as arthritis making them inactive.
