Winter Doldrums

Happy Thursday Everyone! brrrrr it's a cold but sunny day here in my little corner of the myLot world. It actually looks warmer than it is and I wasn't prepared for the freezing cold that greeted me when I took the dogs out earlier.
I'm so ready for spring. I know, I know, winter is still here for two more months.
I shouldn't complain as it hasn't even been that snowy to interfere with daily life.
What I do miss is being able to sit outside and enjoy my morning coffee, read or just enjoy being outside.
Anyway, while I wistfully think of springtime, today is just another day of laundry and some general cleaning. I find it easier to do stuff every day so that nothing piles up.
I made myself a goal to read more this year so today I'm starting a new book.
Dinner tonight will be roasted turkey breast, baked sweet potatoes, and a mix of roasted vegetables. An easy dinner since everything cooks in the oven. No standing over a hot stove. I love meals that are easy peasy.
Now it's time for my second cup of coffee, the pups are snoring and I'm ready to see what's going on here.

I am glad that you at least have sunshine even though it is cold there. That must not have been fun when you took the dogs out and you felt the cold. I would like nice weather too. Who is the Author and what is the name of the book?

The book i just started is called Fortune and Glory by Janet Evanovich.. she writes a lot of books and this is the next one in her series. It's quick, easy and lighthearted reading

I'm in my third cup of coffee the most I've drank in a very long time and I still have to take my pills once I count them out. I may change to got chocolate with a little coffee and added water so I don't drink too much coffee.
We're having chili for supper tonight. After the hamburger is browned I don't plan on spending too much time over the hot stove either.
It's sunny here too and about 32 ish.

I've already had 2 cups and will probably have another this afternoon. But hot chocolate sounds good too so that might be my choice for an afternoon pick me up.
Chili is one of my favorites...yum!

@Marilynda1225 we've been seeking peppermint got chocolate which I've been wanting to try but I keep forgetting to go down that aisle and get me some before it's too late.

I enjoy spring to a certain extent, but I can wait. I hate the hot and humid summer. You may get your wish though cuz the forecast for Feb is to be warmer than average.

Two months will fly soon. And they you can enjoy spring and your outdoor coffee.. It's almost spring here. Maybe two more weeks to go.

I had never eaten turkey in my life. Turkey is not very popular here, perhaps because it is very expensive. Does it taste like chicken or duck?
