Life's Little Stories

My friend told me that she wrote a story about her husband making vinegar tarts in the kitchen. I could visualize him measuring the ingredients precisely and putting the exact amount of filling in between two circles of pastry. It was a very funny story. I started thinking about that. I think life's little stories lend a lot of joy and humor to our lives. We also have big stories to tell. It is impossible to explore all the ups and downs of our history unless we write a book. Little stories make up the fabric of our lives and are sweet memories to cherish. What do you think? Do you have little stories that happened? Do you tell them in your family?

@BelleStarr Blogger won't let me start a new blog. They reject my site addresses and I don't know enough about metadata to do it right. Blog spot and Blogger are the same outfit.

Where did you sign up? I had a blog on Blog Spot but they reject any address for a new blog. I had a Christian blog. I don't know if that has something to do with it.

I agree with you. Our lives are made up of little happenings, sad and happy, in our daily life. I have many little stories to tell and when I start telling them to my friends or relatives, I can“t stop.

You could write a post about one memory that means the most to you. If you focus on one thing, the writing becomes sharper and more interesting.

@Nakitakona That is true of pretty much everyone. There are laughter and grief, good things and bad things and everything in between.

@akalinus I know that it evaporates, I add vinegar to some dishes and you do not feel the taste.

Memories are usually fun to share. Vinegar tarts are little pie-like things that are sweet. A bit of vinegar cuts the sweetness of the brown sugar. They are delicious even though the vinegar in the name make them sound horrible.

Yes you should tell your family little stories marking your place in history! I worked with the elderly all my life and some of the stories they have told me are beyond exciting. Some people are so talented.
