Unemployment is increasing

I believe that no one in the world is willing to be unemployed. Has no permanent job and has very little money. Especially when the Corona Covid-19 pandemic hit like now, many people have been forced to lose their jobs and be unemployed. If it were you, what would you do first? Picture from Google.

I perfer to take things one day at a time, but I also plan ahead. stash money if I can, when I can. Prioritize bills for the times when cash is low. trim the fat while I have the means to do so. I look at what I have, then ask myself 'what can I sell, should I need to' Or, where can I make a decent living. Do I have the skills to do online work. Because something could happen to my husband and I'd be responsible for everything.

Really it has happened to me too. I have also done the same with you, selling unused but still suitable items online. It was when I had just lost my only permanent job.

The thing is, you shouldn't wait until you're out of work. Anything can happen to you, or your loved ones, at any time. You need to be prepared for that.@Babale

I was unemployed for a long time before the pandemic, at least I had passive income and even then I had to be able to live frugally.

@happylearner Before becoming unemployed, I always set aside the rest of my expenses to save. And if a fair amount of money is deposited and we get interest, even though it's not much, it can be used as needed.

It's a good thing that you have passive income. And I think all of people should have too. Learn from the suddenly pandemic we face, having passive income is important.

@May2k8 so passive income you meant previously is the interest you get from deposito?

I think it doesn't matter if you are a housewife. Taking care of a husband and children at home is the best job.

I have always had savings and I would dip into that if I had to. I am so glad that I am retired and still have money coming in.

May I know your job before retiring? If I may guess, maybe a teacher?

I have learned that some people enjoy not working and getting paid by the State. Me personally? I am working two jobs and hoping I don't catch Covid.

@TheHorse I forget that if the unemployed in America still get a salary from the state, of course this is very helpful in difficult times. Unfortunately in our country it is not possible even though unemployment is very large. No wonder crime and robbery are on the rise. I am amazed you can do two jobs in one day. How to?

@yoalldudes I wish you a job quickly. During a very young age, opportunities are still wide open.

That's a good thing and it should be done. God never sleeps and will give the best to his servants depending on his efforts.

It's people's instinct to survive. So they'd do anything and whatever just to live.

As long as it is done in the right way and not against the law, of course.

As I'm retired the pandemic hasn't affected my finances too much. I feel sorry for those who have lost their jobs.

Indeed, those who are directly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic are those who work in the private sector or become entrepreneurs. They cannot make money because of the prohibition on doing business. Meanwhile, civil servants or retirees still get monthly money or salaries even though they are not working.

I'm retired, so don't have to worry. Our kids are secure in their careers, too. They learned early on to save money and invest.

I would be very depressed without a job and no money to pay the bills. I am blessed that I am not in that situation.

@Babale That´s right. It is better to have earned a little than nothing at all.

That is something to be grateful for. Even though I only earn a little per day, at least I don't need to beg other people.

that's why it is very important to have a back up. Like you should have at least 2 sources of income.

Well that's true. Unfortunately not everyone can have more than one job. We recommend that we invest from the start, such as saving money.

I think this is a serious problem. I would probably start looking for something else myself, because I am a person who is motivated to act by such situations. Although nowadays it is difficult to work.

I'd probably cry for a while. Then, I pray to God to give me courage and to give me luck, fortune in looking for a job. I'd definitely read many platforms on how to make money online, since there's a lot of ways where we can make money through internet, mylotting is one of those ways. I'll improve my skill as well. With the job experience I have, I'm sure I can get a new job.

Just at the end of last week, USA-Canada Keystone Pipelne is going to be shut down by the Biden Administration and, aleady, laid off 10k+ workers Trump administration created and made available four years ago. Sickening. Here, just in case the mainstream media that have been fawning at and drooling over their president will not report it.
Joe Biden’s announcement that he will shut down the Keystone XL pipeline is creating tensions between U.S. and Canadian officials.

Biden must have had other considerations why he did it, maybe for the sake of saving budget and concentrating on handling Covid-19 in America today.
