Legos are...

United States

Fun to play with and you can't convince me otherwise. No, but the video for today is pretty cool. A lot of the process of making a lego is fully automated which I never knew. Local thrift store has this deal where you can get loose pieces of legos and other toys in a plastic baggie for like $2.50 and I was reminded of that when watching this video. Leg godt... "Play Well" In Danish apparently..

Doesn't it look like it'd actually be cool to work there ? I guess I never thought about how they made them. Yep, there are legos all over the place here . . . it looks like a lego factory .

I think it would be difficult to have a bad day working at a lego factory. Especially the guy who got to play with legos, though I imagine that might get boring after awhile.

@ScribbledAdNauseum legos are for all ages and different size are for the different ages, the bigger for the littlest kids, and the smaller for the bigger kids like adults. We have Junior and regular legos. We did have the mega ones when the kids where around 1 year

@ShyBear88 Do you remember soft legos? I know my aunt had some when I was a kid. Her youngest son (seven years older than me) played with them as a kid.

Oh that sounds like a cool build. We used to have big legos for the kids here, but most of the kids are out of lego phase now.

I think every little boy and girl likes legos at one time. My aunt had soft legos for her children and I got to play with them when I was little.

@CarolDM Absolutely. I wonder if she still has those? They would be 40 or so years old if she did.

I love this show. I watch clips of it instead because I could spend hours in front of the television watching it otherwise.

I never thought how they were made, but I am not surprised that is all automatic.

Even some of the quality control is automatic. Powerful fans that blow the pieces off the conveyor.

@MommyOfEli2013 COuld be. They get a lot of the stuff they have from people selling to them, but I think they get stuff from estate sells and maybe the occasional buy lot of things.

I was there yesterday but didn't look at that section. They may not have them anymore, but I assume they plan to have them a lot because there's a special storage place for it.
