Day 178
Promise 639
Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (KJV)
Everyone has needs. We have physical and emotional needs.
Paul told the Philippians he was grateful for the gifts they supplied for his necessity. He then told them God would supply everything he needed.
As Christians, you have physical needs. You need food, shelter, and clothes. God knows what you need before you ask Him.
In Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, He told the people, they shouldn’t worry about their needs because God would take care of them.
Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
What do you need? God promised to supply ALL you need according to His riches. Not according to your riches. If you could supply your own needs, you wouldn’t have a need. However, you have needs only God can meet.
This pandemic has shown nothing is guaranteed. People are in lockdown without jobs or the guarantee their job will be there tomorrow. They rely on outside sources for their survival. Their wants and desires have been put on hold as they take care of their daily needs.
Paul told the Philippians God would supply everything they needed. They only needed to ask Him and He would give it to them. God has only one requirement. He wants you to seek Him first before you go to the world for help.
Who are you relying on for help in your hour of need? Turn to God. Trust Him to do what He promised—supply everything you need. Then watch Him fulfill His promise.
Let’s pray: Father, You know my needs. Help me stand on Your promise to take care of me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

My thought or attitude earlier was "May god bless me/all" Thinking tht bless is only about things I desire, want or anything that makes me happy. I've been diagnosed with clinical depression, no wonder why I wanted God to help me or bless me with happiness or even a normal life.
But recently, I realized, every experience helps me grow. if good is life, so is bad. If health is life, so is illness. Not all the time our needs are met and thats okay, that is normal.
And so now I say "God is always blessing us"
let it be anything, good bad anything...its a gift and blessing from God.
Thank you God.
