Today husband and i went to take the death certificate of my father-in-law. We need it for some property matters. Now,i am curious to see the crematory area? I don't know how they called this,it is for 'hindus'. Now as long as we enter i saw a group of people standing,i asked hubs,,why people is there,is there dead body there? My husband said yeah..Then i begin to feel uncomfortable. Now we roam around looking the office and there we passed by three rows burning dead bodies, the two are about to finished but the other one is still new.Omg!i hold my breath,i don't want to smell anything. After getting documents, after getting out on that area,i asked hubs if they put something on the body so that it will not smell,he said no..it's already smelling around and that's the smell. Omg!i feel like vomiting. When we reached home i quickly went to bath. And put directly our clothes to washing Since childhood till now,i am not comfortable going near dead bodies. A relatives or a neighbor. How about you?

Must be really unpleasant. It's good to get a shower as soon as you got back too. We don't keep the body for long here. Burial is usually around 24 hours. But that's my religion. Not sure about others.

That must have been awful. If I were you, I'd be very scared. I won't even look at it.

Hinduism or Buddhism usually does burn bodies, and on average for other religions generally bury them and pray for them.
