Mollifying Myself

I had my consultation with the company's mentor this afternoon. I am mollifying myself because the issue is not being solved on my part. Since the company is implying their rules and cannot be bend for certain situations. I did not talk much and defend myself to make the conversation short. It is pointless as I expected. To mollify me, I just do myLotting after having deep breathing exercises. Did you ever felt frustrated? How do you mollify yourself in times of frustration? Image Credit: media4.giphy.com

I tried my best to brush off dealing with these people. Deep breathing exercises are the best thing to do.

Sorry that you are not feeling sorted after the talk. It happens with all of us from time to time. I generally go to listening to music and close my eyes. A walk or some gardening also helps.

I used to walk in the park when experiencing this. With this pandemic, I cannot do it anytime I want. As of now, I am just conditioning myself for the possible sanction that will happen. But I will still accept it and move on if it comes to this point.

It will not be sorted out because they refuse to hear out their virtual teachers.

Yep! I've gotten frustrated over company rules... I've seen them break the rules for one employee but when it comes to others of us the rules are supposedly set in stone. I go home, gripe about it to Pretty, and then take a nap. When my nap is over I am usually in a better frame of mind. *shrug* If I'm not, then I just have to get glad in the same underwear that I got mad in...

It is really frustrating. But I just compose myself that there will be good things that will happen despite these frustrations. I had seen the same scenario that they break rules to their favorite employees. I felt disgusted seeing them like this.

@Shavkat I often daydreamed that the managers who broke the rules would get what they deserved... and saw just that from time to time. I know I'm not supposed to be happy at someone else's misfortune, but I will tell you that when it happened, I smiled!

@DaddyEvil For this kind of scenario, I always believed in bad karma. It can strike more than what they did.

@rakski I agree. It is better to work at home than working in their office. It is worst if being there.

No point talking when the other party is not even listening. I just pretend to be listening while my mind is elsewhere.

You said it the right ambiance when I had my consultation with the staff. There is no point in insisting things up when they made up their minds.

Indeed. I need to endure the flaws and ignore the real truth of working with them for now.

I heard this with my manager before. They cannot do anything but follow the rules. I just find it weird to have the consequences for not accepting a reason, which is a valid one.
