I have two more extra days off this week

I'm still trying to use up all my vacation and paid time off days before my work anniversary April first. Two weeks ago I should have been paid for the three days I took off but it seems I don't know how to put in my requests into the new system were now using. Supposedly I had asked for twenty four hours paid per day off rather than just right hours. That week I got paid thirteen dollars because the manager removed my request and must have forgotten to put it back in correctly. After this week I'm taking partial days until my time off is used up. I need to compile all the info I need for when I see my tax guy and then make an appt. Then I need to bring found more filling and organizing but I'm sure I'll be around the site more too. My wound on my foot is doing much better to where I mostly only need a bandage on it now rather than some additional bandaging. Yesterday while working out barely hurt at all, but today was worse for some reason. I do have a lot of dry skin surrounding the wound and sometimes I think that's what hurts worse than the wound itself.

It is very possible that the dry skin around the wound is what hurts most now.

@MarshaMusselman If you can wear slippers and apply the antibiotic for some days I think you should be fine.

I think that is correct. And it's been healing and then reforming again. When I have days off I've been wearing my slippers and using antibiotic ointment on it. Not that the antibiotic part is needed but it keeps the drier areas moist. Wearing shoes doesn't help either but I can't work barefoot. This wound began from blisters from new shoes.

@LadyDuck it does help.. today I have a dental appt and I get to clear any snow we may get it clear what's there from before that I never did. Other than that I don't plan on going out.

It is. It heals then comes back again. I'm hoping as the weather warms up the she's will go away. My hands get dry to but they aren't hidden away so don't get so bad.

@MarshaMusselman , Have you ever tried to put Vaseline on your dry skin? I do it on my feet and it really helps and then I put on cotton socks

@marlina I will give that a try. Do you wear it to bed that way it when you're home in the daytime?

Glad to hear that your foot is doing better. I'm sure as it's healing the dry skin is what's making it hurt now.

That certainly seems to be the case since it's no longer open.

It still could take a month or more. Hopefully not as long as the last wound I had though.

I'm glad and thankful that your job is still available for you. I hope that you get your pay sorted out smoothly. Have you tried soaking your infected wound in warm water with sodium bicarb?

@everwonderwhy the veins themselves are no longer painful. Just the wounds when on the side of the lower for near the inside ankle bone. R those hurt until there's a later if skin or scan on them.

@MarshaMusselman Varicose veins are painful. You're right, raised legs gives some relief. And use the days off work time to rest and be renewed fully. Stay well and safe.

I watched another manager put it into her computer. So all should be good. Just in time to pay the car insurance lol.

@porwest wed be rich without investments if we didn't have to pay anyone anything. What a concept.

Is the dry skin because of the winter?

I'm sure that is the case. I moisturize the address more in the warmer months and have to get better doing it all year round.
