What Can You Do With A Tin* (BE) / Can (AE) Of Tuna?

You can make a tasty salad, of course.
You can get tuna with a bit of watery liquid or with a lot of oil.
I had a tin with a lot of oil. I took the tuna out with a fork so that some oil would drip off. I put it in a bowl and touched it with a paper tissue to get more oil off.
I opened a tin with maize kernels, poured away the liquid and added the content to the tuna.
I had already boiled three eggs. I peeled them, cut them into slices with an egg slicer and added them, too.
As it wasn’t necessary to condition the salad with oil as there was still enough in the fish, I added only vinegar and then pepper and salt. I can’t tell you how much. If you aren’t sure, start with a bit. You can always add more later. But if you add a lot right at the beginning, you can‘t get it out again.
Then I mixed the salad and let it stand for a while.
I ate it with some slices of bread and was fully satisfied with my light evening meal.

That can happen. I wouldn't be too concerned. That does sound like one way to eat tuna out of a can.

@MALUSE I don't think you should try to eat tuna straight out of a can, or tin as you put it.

If that oil is not for consumption it is such a waste.

I don't like tuna in oil, I prefer white tuna in water but the combination of ingredients does sound tasty.

That sounds an easy but very healthy and nourishing salad.

Your salad looks delicious. I prefer to buy canned tuna in water not in oil because they put too much oil in there.

Sounds good. I'm not a big tuna fan but will eat it occasionally.
