Look what I bought for me

We took some old tyres to a farmer’s place yesterday. As we already had the trailer with we called into the hardware store and picked up a bag of sheep pellets and a bale of oaten hay for Harry and Solomon, our new sheep. I was going to buy them new collars but at over $25 each, I decided I don’t love them that much yet. I have some old belts at home that will be just as effective.
However, I did lash out and bought myself these pretty croc lookalikes. My black ones are very ugly and the soles are almost worn through so I’ll keep them for outside and use my nice new ones inside. To give them their due, the black ones have lasted for a number of years.
Have you worn these? If so, what's your opinion of them? Do you find them comfortable?

Uhm... two things... You wear shoes in the house? Pretty and I have house shoes but haven't bothered to wear them in years. It's easier/more comfortable to go bare foot. And I'm sure the black crocs are ugly and were when you bought them. As for the new ones... maybe the less I say the better?

@JudyEv All our floors are carpeted.
(Yes, even the kitchen and bathroom. We thought that was so weird when we moved in here... but we're used to it now.
)
I don't have to wear them, so it's okay.

@DaddyEvil We are outside such a lot and in and out, in and out, worse than cats. I thought we'd be bringing in too much dirt to have carpet. And it's never that cold that the floors are freezing although tiles in the bathroom and laundry get a bit cold sometimes.

I've never worn crocs, but they are very popular here in the US, so they must be comfortable. Your pair look very comfortable.

@JudyEv I didn't catch that. Yes, without slits in them, I'm sure they will get hot in the summer. But at least you can enjoy them in the cooler months.

@moffittjc I used to wear thongs - oops, sorry, flipflops - in the summer so perhaps I'll go back to doing that.

I've never worn a pair of Crocs, but your new pair is darling! Once nice weather sets in, I might get a pair!

They are really nice looking. In Florida now I live in the original Crocs and have them in many different colors, I do like your flower ones very much,

Those are very pretty. I was given a pair of purple ones which were useful when just popping outside to feed the chickens and so on. Unfortunately we have a hedge of pyracantha (firethorn) which is very spiky and the thorns are very hard and long-lasting, so after the hedge has been clipped, unless every single bit is picked up the thorns can still be found on the ground two years later.
My 'crocs' are now unwearable because the soles are so full of thorns. They don't look that bad because the thorns have gone so far in you can't really see them, but when you put your feet in the pressure of course forces the invisible thorns into your feet!
We have got rid of about two thirds of the hedge, and the rest I prune with secateurs, making sure to keep hold of every single piece and carefully dispose of it. It takes much longer of course than just clipping it with shears or even hedge-trimmers, but I don't have to spend time raking up the clippings afterwards and there's no risk of getting the thorns stuck in your shoes or even bare feet - yow!

I know what you're saying. I've had that happen with my crocs and with thongs but each time I've been able to get the thorn out with tweezers. It's only been the odd time it's happened. As you say, you know about it when you put pressure on the shoe. They're very easy to slip on and off.

The crocs may be comfortable but I've never seen a style of these shoes that weren't ugly.
Crocs does make some slip on almost tennis shoe type shoes that are decent looking.

@thislittlepennyearns These might end up being too hot in our summers so I might buy flipflops too for inside the house.

@JudyEv I had some in highschool they were flip flops. They were orange and pink or something hideous. I don't know.
Lol, I looked at some over the weekend at the sporting goods store because I want something that I can just slip on in order to go get the mail or meet the pizza man or whatever. Buuuuut, they just didn't do it for me. Especially not for the price.

They are cute, but I can't wear them due to weak ankles, they just don't give me enough support!

I had something similar to wear in my garden, but not crocs, and they were uncomfortable,
I never owned crocs, those do look comfortable, and very pretty.

That looks lovely..I like it.
I mostly walk around in my home wearing socks. I use crocs with it only if floor is too cold. Else it stays outside my bathroom and I wear it while using restroom. I never take my house crocs outside. And they stay for years as I don't use them much. I change few socks pairs in a day

@JudyEv Since I use them regularly and they are frequently washed, they get holes and I keep buying more. I change two three times a day. It's a part of my diabetic foot care.

those are popular in my house. All family members but one have them. The one that doesn't finds them uncomfortable.

@JudyEv the crocs really look nice and the color too! They are usually comfortable I wear them in the house mostly since my house is cold I don't operate barefooted to protect my feet.

@Laurakemunto The black ones are probably 3 years old and they're had a lot of use. I want to keep my pretty ones just to wear indoors. We'll see how long I'm able to do that!
