Built A Snowman For the Birds

We have had about an inch of ice for two days now. With a few flurries mixed in. Woke up to five inches of snow this morning. That is a lot for our area. It is the nice fluffy snow. Built a small snowman on the deck for the birds. Peanuts were used for the eyes and nose. Too much fun. Dustin loved the snow. Wish he was here to enjoy. Many neighborhood kids are out building snowmen and playing in the snow.

@CarolDM So did the birds go sit on the snowman or eat his eyes? My dog also loved snow. I bet it is hard for you to look at the snow and feel sad that Dustin is not with you.

That is a sweet snowman for the birds.

We got missed again, we did get rain, freezing rain, sleet and flurries. They freezing rain wasn't as bad here as they thought it would be. Areas around us took the harder hit with that. Im glad the neighborhood kids are enjoying it.

I was concerned about you sliding in the ice under the snow but snow usually provided some traction if only for awhile. But if you did it in your deck that might have been easier.

Thankfully, I took the shovel and made a trench to the bird feeder. Found an inch of ice underneath. I took my time.
