We have guests arriving tomorrow

We have visitors arriving tomorrow afternoon. They’ll be staying three days. They used to live just a kilometre or so away but now they’ve moved to the city to be nearer their grandchildren. On Monday, we’re going to see the mural at Wellington Weir; on Tuesday, the men are playing golf and on Wednesday, they go home so the time will pass quickly. We hope to find time for a couple of board games.
We’re having roast pork tomorrow (Sunday) evening and home-made fish and chips on Monday. Tuesday, we might go out for a meal which will be something to look forward to.
The photo is of the display cabinet they gave us when they left as it wasn’t going to fit in their new home. As you might expect, I’ll have limited time here over the next few days but I’ll pop in when I can.

Visitors? Is this some little-used Aussie slang? Going out for a meal? Some ancient aboriginal custom? I'm afraid you're going to have to explain these terms to us Brits on here.
Sounds like you're going to have a great time. Fish and chips is what I miss most since going vegan!!

Um... what part of 'visitors' don't you understand?? 
Perhaps you know them as 'guests'. They are two friends bout our age who will come to see us and who will stay with us for three nights. Did you see what I did there? All the words in that last sentence are one syl-lal-ble. My goodness, I'm crash-hot tonight.

It fits there so nicely as though we were meant to have it. We wouldn't have bought it off them if they'd put it up for sale but only because we would have baulked at the money. They insisted we have it. It was made to order so would have been very expensive. We gave a donation to charity as a 'token gesture'.

@JudyEv I have a wall in here I could use for something like that...currently there is a chair there that nobody sits in, but I could make room. That chair doesn't need to be there.
