Throwing a fish

This morning, I went to the wet market to buy fish and meat. When I arrived home, I simply saw one fish that looked as if it had been in the freezer for ages and it smelled a bit awful. I simply put it in the waste basket. No reason to cook it.
It was mixed with the fresh ones. Some vendors really cheat. Well, I won't buy there anymore.
Have you encountered the same thing?

I normally buy from the wet fish counter as I have been caught out like that a few times....

@Janet357 it used to be quite a cheap thing to have but in the last few years I think it has got quite expensive. I tend to buy from fresh wet fish stalls not supermarkets

Not something like that because when we buy fish where I live they are wrapped in plastic and sealed. (You can see them.) I would have taken the fish back if it smelled funny.

@Janet357 I see. Having a friend who knows what he's doing is always the best way to get things. You know they are going to be the best you can get when they deliver them.

I usually look when vendors are giving me the fish and I show the ones I like with my finger. What you saw can ocurr unless you know the vendor.

That was dishonest on the part of the vendor, they cheated you!

@Janet357 Let others know what this lady did, so they don't get cheated, also!
