I haven't been on in a few days, but I promised some of you that I'd show off the dessert tray that I made for the family for Valentine's Day.
There are foil-wrapped chocolate hearts, heart-shaped jelly beans, various kinds of cookies, pink chocolate pearls, raspberries, heart-shaped Swedish fish (can they still be called Swedish fish if they're no longer shaped like fish?), raspberry creme Kit Kats, red foil-wrapped mini peanut butter cups, and cherry-filled chocolate hearts.
This was pretty festive and easy to throw together, and went well with glasses of milk!
I realize it was a week ago, but... what did you do for Valentine's Day?

I love the little pearlescent candies at the top. What a cute idea!
I had a gallentine's weekend with friends. We went to have tea at a tea room, had build a bear's that a friend bought us stuffed and then just played games, colored, made food and had a fun time.

Those are pearly Sixlets!
I found them at a grocery outlet and thought they'd be perfect.
We're still in lock-down, so no tea rooms are open here (except for take-out, and that's not quite the same).

@spiderdust Oh wow, I've never seen sixlets like that. We can sit down at restaurants but the tables have to be spaced apart. Most of the time the tea room sets us in a whole other room away from everyone else.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Currently there is no indoor dining in our county, but I've heard that things may open up again soon. Unfortunately, people's super spreader events, err... Super Bowl parties a couple of weeks ago may spike the infection rate too high for that.

Yes, we stayed home too. I got my sweetheart his own tiny cherry pie (which he had in addition to the other treats that everyone else was enjoying) and had lunch delivered.

Everyone had a little bit of everything. The wafer cookies and the Swedish fish hearts and the jellybeans were the favorites.

That looks very good. I just let the day go by.

@akalinus Ah! I assumed you had since you are from the US. They are similar to M&Ms, but shaped differently. They also have a slight malted milk flavor.

I looked at some lobster tails before Valentine's day, pondered some grilled lobster for dinner, but ended up getting eye of round instead.

That was a cute way to serve Valentine's candies/desserts.
My daughter and I didn't do anything. I wished her a Happy Valentine's Day and she rolled her eyes at me.
