The wife's car broke down today. Ever resourceful she called her breakdown people and while she waited she called me to take her home. No problem. I arrived at the same time as the tow truck and the driver filled out all his paper work for the wife to sign. She looked at it and it was all correct - make and model of car, colour, mileage, registration number etc and she was happy with all that but became quite indignant when she noticed that under "Condition of car" the scoundrel had written "Dirty". It certain was dirty and always has been, but this makes it official and I had to hurry her off the scene and into my car before a war broke out. She muttered about it all the way home.
