He came over this afternoon

You know the usual suspect. 
He brought me a bill from the cardiologist for a $5 copay. I thought I paid it while I was there but I guess not. I don't remember.
Anyway we talked, laughed, and hung out for awhile. It was nice to see him. He has been busy with work and his sister. She has to have a hip replacement on Monday so he's been dealing with getting her to doctor and hospital appointments.
2 years later and we are still great friends.

Your ex's sister should have little trouble with the hip replacement. The knee replacements are much more difficult and painful from my experience. Glad you two got to hang out.
