What sign would you need more?

Our Lord Jesus could have been exasperated when He declared this statement in today's Gospel:
“This generation is an evil generation;
it seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it,
except the sign of Jonah. "
Remember Jonah? He was the coward of a prophet who was thrown out into the waters and swallowed by a big fish. Three days after, he was regurgitated in Nineveh. Realizing he can't run away from the God, he gathered his bravado and warned the Ninevites that God will destroy Nineveh in 40 days if the people do not turn away from their wicked ways. The king heard and commanded no man nor beast shall eat nor drink, wear sackcloth and sat on the ash as act or repentance. Nineveh was spared.
Our God has given us all the signs: earthquake, fire, ice, storm, flood, pestilence, disease, unrest, hunger, death.
What sign does man need more?
Surely no sign needed for those who believe. No sign ever vivid enough for those who do not.

Felt a prick in the heart after seeing the news about the five hundred thousand CoViD-19 casualty mark in the United States yesterday.
And yet many still consider the virus a hoax. We live in a crazy generation.

People of all races and faith have been always been looking for signs from the heavens but it really is hard to pinpoint which ones are since we have had numerous events happening in and out but we continue to move one in time adjusting to the times we have and overcoming challenges that come along.

A tad too long that sentence is.
Just as the Gospel said: "....it seeks a sign but no sign will be given it, except the sign of Jonah."
One must really know the story of Jonah before one begins to understand this.
