Our photos are on display

While we were in Collie with friends a few days ago, we walked past the office of the Member (political) for the region. He is retiring this year but has been a wonderful ambassador and spokesperson for his region. He is a ‘blokes’ bloke’ and enjoys a beer and a barbecue like many of his constituents. He has also had a conviction for drink-driving and for catching undersize marron (freshwater crayfish) but these misdemeanours have only endeared him to most of the public, and made him seem more human. There was a display in the window of his office showcasing the activities and achievements of HorsePower, an organisation which used to be known as ‘Riding for the Disabled’. On closer inspection, we discovered the four photos shown in the window are ones we took at a special day the group ran. It was quite a thrill to see the photos with the name of the website in small print in one corner.
