Day 197 Promise 662 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. People will argue that man wrote the Bible and that it is fallible, contradictory, and not relevant for today. Paul told Timothy ALL Scripture is the inspiration of God so he could have all the tools he needed for a godly life. As Christians, you know God poured His Word into His people through the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit who teaches and corrects so you can be complete and ready to do God’s will. No other book ever written was so fitly joined together so that it is without error, infallible in the tiniest detail. When people challenged the Bible, set out to prove contradictions and errors, they being once atheists in their beliefs, became strong Christians proving for themselves and others the infallible Word of God. Only the Holy Spirit could write God’s Word on man’s heart, so we could know God’s heart for His people. If you need further proof of the infallibility of God’s Word, read The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel, also a movie or Evidence that Demands a Verdict by Josh McDowell. Both men were firm atheists before they took up the challenge to prove the error of the Bible and found it was without error. Let’s pray: Father, thank you for Your Word. Help me read and study it daily so I can learn Your will for my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 24 February 2021 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay

The bible was interpreted and translated by many into different languages and so the mistake was done by man. The original content is there no change at all, pure, preserved.

When the bible was translated by man there might be some mistakes but that would be the only ones.

They wouldn't have been doctrinal but maybe grammatical. Some words only have one translation in English, but multiple translations in other languages.

"Only the Holy Spirit could write God’s Word on man’s heart, so we could know God’s heart for His people." I like the way that you phrased that. Yes, God wants us to know his heart, and we can know it through our reading his word, and by loving him, and by listening to the guidance of his Holy Spirit, as it talking to us in our hearts too.

@macayada Yes, I agree with that. If the words go through our mind first, we can add something to them, but if we write/listen to them exactly as they come into our hearts, from God, this is coming from the Holy Spirit, and not distorted through our minds first then. The words of God living in us must be kept pure, as you said too.

@innertalks Our body is the temple of the holy spirit, we need to always keep it clean. Our heart must pure be for the words to be written.
