Black Angus Cows

Went out for some errands and a nice drive today. The errands went smoothly. Everybody spaced themselves like they were suppose to. Most had on masks. Coming home I noticed this field of black cows. Looks like it was nap time perhaps. Angus I believe is the type of cow. Yes, the kind that makes really good steaks. But I am not a steak eater, so I prefer to see the cows grazing in the fields. A beautiful day with sunshine and 70 F temperatures. A big changed from a few days ago with 20 F degrees and ice and snow on the ground. Enjoying the little things again today. Life is short. I hope you can do the same.

Temps here are a little colder than you're getting... 55 F today and 56 F yesterday. We still have some snowdrifts that haven't gone completely yet but the sunshine is very nice. The cows look like they are enjoying the sun, too.

Glad you got to get out for a bit and enjoy. I eat steak but not much of it at all either. It is warm here today too. We are not in the 70's yet though but it is coming soon.

Like sheep, there are plenty of cows here in New Zealand and I was told that the black and white colored cows are for beef meat while the brown ones are for milk.

That sounds the opposite here. The black and white (Holstein) are dairy cows here. And are my favorite.

These actually originated in Scotland. They are very popular here due to the steaks. But I love these as animals.

@CarolDM I rarely eat veal, not because of animals, but I don't have that habit.. my aunt told me that she didn't eat veal until she got married, it was out of her mind (because my grandfather, her father) had cows and she saw them as pets

My Dad used to raise angus beef. You had a beautiful day today, our day was sunny and cloudy, depending on when you looked out of the window, but so very mild. I had the window open this morning.

@CarolDM This weekend, Sunday, in particular, we are expecting really unseasonably mild weather. I've asked my hubby if we can go on a nature trail walk, provided it is as warm as they promise and is not raining.

We've had that drastic if a temperature change before but usually it's going down not up. I'm sure you're enjoying your weather there. Even though it's only in the forties here with a wind-chill maybe ten degrees lower it's still melting the snow and ice and fire that I'm thankful. I went outside to bring some window wash in the house which will need if it's cold when we do windows again but it doesn't look like will need it.
