Unusual parking problem

Debra turned into the wrong parking lot meaning to turn into Giant Fitness one parking lot over from McDonald’s to switch gyms from Planet Fitness since she says it doesn’t look like they’ll ever be 24 hours again. She missed their lot and turned into a grey building lot instead. She decided to go to the very back of the lot and walk to Giant since it’s right next door. Well, the minute she parked, a bunch of cars drive back to make U-turns so she just stayed in her car to wait it out. One of the cars turning decided to stop right behind her, so she stayed in her car even longer. When the car finally pulled away, there were 11 teenage girls standing there laughing. Next thing she knew, they were doing relay races around her car..... Then squats, then stretches, then other exercises. There's when she realized this was a dance school and they just came to the back parking lot to teach their class, so then she realized she was surrounded by a fruckng (not the original word) dance class, "literally surrounded and can’t back up or leave my car and it’s so g*dd**n awkward." She just now got home. Still hyper. It gave her an anxiety attack. So much so that she forgot to take our exit and ended up heading towards Atlantic City. And she never got her gym membership changed.

Ain't it fun driving in Jersey? I once took a wrong exit on my way back from Wall. So, I stopped in a convenience store to ask the clerk for directions. When I said, I am trying to get back to Trenton," the clerk, who happened to be an immigrant, said, "follow me, and I will show you how to get back to Philly." He recognized my accent. I'm actually from Bucks County.

There are subtle regional differences in accent. Takes a good ear to hear them. With her, it was good there was an exit immediately after she got on Rt 42 that brought her to the road back home.

@jerzgirl, Yes, there are! Natives of Bucks do not say, "crown." When we are talking about Crayola. We actually call them crayons. So, I can always tell when someone hasn't lived in Bucks as long as my family has (since the 1630s). I'm glad Debra was able to get herself back home. All those girls learning to dance certainly must have been a sight to see.

@Chellezhere No doubt. She has social anxiety, but usually does well. This got to her big-time.
