Some Experiences Leave Indelible Mark

Experiences give me flashbacks. They include the good and the real bad.
Maybe, that is life in a nutshell – we carry those memories right till the end and, maybe, beyond for a purpose. I try to forget the hurts but that is not easy. Then slowly chew the cud bringing back good memories especially of those that provided lucky breaks. They include meeting the right people at the right time.
I wonder too how my life could have gone another way had I not had such opportunities. Also, some missed opportunities that I am blissfully unaware of. I have heard we are always yearning to meet some suited to our life goals that attracts us to each other and we are bound to meet.
Then the few bad that left a bitter taste in the mouth. They are from work and personal life. To put in a nutshell, they didn’t treat others as they liked to be treated. A few not only hurt but also made sure they did!
My take has been to learn the lessons. The perpetrators of evil will meet their comeuppance while the good will have a smile and peace of mind in their lives. I have learned how to be like a few and not like a few too. I know the fallout – the positives and negatives of such behavior.
I think this has been a fact of life from time immemorial and is a trait that is inbuilt in us. Can we change for the better? Our hope says so but the reality is harsh, who knows? Change is the only constant in creation and I do wish for the better. This has been going for too long especially the bad holding the good to ransom.
Love to hear your take.

In the end, some of us are very strong and survive.
Others are not as strong, and cannot weather the bad things.

@Shiva49 I think everyone had those situations too some good and some not so good. If we learn from the bad it will help us in our waiting for the good.

I believe we can change for the better and while it might seem impossible to ever meet the partner you've always wanted waiting for the right person might be what's needed. Most of us get tired of waiting.
It'll not too say that we shouldn't date or spend time with those we think we might get along with because if we never spend time with others how will we know what we want and what were looking for.
The pic you found is pretty.

I think that a problem with thinking that life is about lessons teaching us, is that we can overlook the effects on others then too.
Life is one big oneness, and the individual lessons, seemingly learnt, are more for that oneness's benefit, that for our own benefit.
This world boils down to being really God's world, and we have to humbly accept that, and serve him as best we can in it, picking up the threads of any learnings, and understandings, along the way.
The Christian Bible gives many examples of where God tests one individual, at the expense of another, though, and so some parts of his oneness must be playing greater parts than others are, I would think then too.
There is one example from the Bible where God told Abraham to kill his own son, Isaac, and to burn him alive on a rockpile, as a living sacrifice for himself, God.
Now, God, intervened again just as Abraham was about to set fire to his son, and to stick a huge knife through his heart, just in the nick of time.
It was then said that this was a way that God was testing Abraham's faith in himself.
Now this might be so, but the cannon fodder here was the poor son.
He would never have trusted his father again, and his life would have been greatly affected by this terrible incident, perhaps for the rest of his life.
God didn't care less about Isaac, though it seems; his focus was only upon his favourite son, Abraham.
So, I think we should never selfishly think that life is just about ourselves, and its setting unique lessons only for us too.
Life is just life.
We just live it, and can try to learn from it, but we should not think that it exists only for ourselves as the top dog in it, learning some special tricks of our own from it.
Such learnings can become attachments too, and we can become too proud of our own tricks then parading them off to others whenever we get the chance to do so.

@Shiva49 It does seem like it, grin and bear it for us commoners, while the elite, greedily lap up their money, and get fat on it, as much as they can, with eyes open for nothing else.
I see it hard for this to ever change, while these greedy ones hold onto the purse-strings, so tightly.

@Shiva49 Perhaps love's way has less pain to its cutting though, as we know that it is God's way, for our life too.
Such inner knowing makes the bearing of necessary pain, just a little bit easier too.

@innertalks Yes, most wait for better tidings till eternity come while the greedy lap them all in the meantime.
I do not know whether true but heard this virus stalks more the rich and the greedy! And it is also said the rich became richer during this time of misery for others. Everything cuts both ways.
