When they are much prettier on FB than they are in person

Once, I met this gal in person and I was so surprised because she looked so different on social media. I meant, she was so fair-skinned on FB, prettier and sexier but in person, almost the opposite.
That's because technology now is so advanced, one can even change his skin color, physique and looks.
I know someone who uses filter a lot so that her ID has two versions: the dark-skinned and the fair-skinned. When she went to the bank to make some transaction, the teller asked her to present at least two valid IDs. The former refused to make transaction upon seeing her IDs, because the images did not match.

Too many people like to change their appearance on Facebook to make themselves look better when they should be confident in how they really look.

I find that funny. My daughter's former nanny came over last year for a visit and I was surprised at how huge she looked like because she was so slim on facebook. She said she uses this filter on her phone cam to make her look less fat. Amazing!
I've turned off all my phone's filters but for some reason these apps smoothen my skin a bit. For that,. I'm grateful! Hahaha

@Janet357 I had to find out where the settings are on my phone so I could turn off the default filters.
