My hair is fading quite a bit, and I am getting bored of the mostly light pink and orange hair. I have some dark purple dye and I may mix it with conditioner and tri to cover my hair and see if it will color it (if not, I guess that is a waste). May need to bleach my roots since they are growing in a lot.
What I plan to do soon is buy some blue hair dye and I can do some blue and purple, or just dye it all blue. Sharing a photo of the last time I did my hair blue. I would do a darker blue this time, though...the color in the photo is nice but I want a darker version. So thinking of just covering my hair currently with purple and then when that fades out doing the blue.
Not sure exactly! I am testing an area to see if the purple with conditioner will cover the light pink nicely....if not I guess I should go ahead and buy the blue? I don't know!! Ah! Thoughts?

What about trying for a darker blue that's almost iridescent at the same time?
That image is the closest I could find to show what I mean.

@MommyOfEli2013 I have some ideas but I"m not sure if they'd work either.
You might be able to create something like this by dyeing it one main color and highlighting it with the other lighter colors.

Maybe, but not sure...might just feel more tie-dyed or something....although that is not a bad look either!
I just posted about this, but I just put purple all over everything lol....the dark color on the roots and then a lighter version over the rest (since I didn't have enough purple).

I say try the purple and if it turns out bad just cover with a darker indigo blue.

Well not sure I can do purple because I have less than half a bottle LOL. Depends if the pastel version will cover my hair. I am going to do blue next though and that is cool that he does!

@AngelisaQT yes bleaching would be good...unless you just want a blue tint to your hair

@MommyOfEli2013 I have never done anything like that to my hair. It is naturally black so I am afraid to. Hope yours turns out the way you want it to.

@stephcjh That is understandable, trying to color your hair when you have black hair is a lot of work

Well in the end I will probably surprise myself. Today though I covered everything in shades of purple, hoping it sticks.

I am suddenly reminded of Ami Mizuno from Sailor Moon when I see the Blue hair. That being said, the image does look nice. When you say pink hair, are you talking neon cotton candy pink?

@MommyOfEli2013 That's a cross between Chibi-Usa and Chibi-Chibi. Looks good though. I have no idea what blue die would do to that color.

@kaylachan i dont follow that stuff...so not sure. I mostly hate my roots lol. But blue would probably make it purple unless i removed the pink first

Oh really? I think I know who you are talking about lol. But glad you think it looks nice. I don't think I would be able to go that light of a blue at the moment though. No, don't think it is a neon cotton candy pink....sharing a photo of the current color of my hair lol
