Day 204 Promise 669 Hebrews 6:17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: 18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: 19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters into that within the veil; 20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made a High Priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. Have you gone the extra mile to show your integrity in your work and loyalty to your friends, family, and coworkers? The writer to Hebrews showed God went the extra mile by showing God cannot lie. He was their refuge and hope in every trouble. As Christians, you need an anchor of hope whenever Satan comes against you. You need to know God will not forsake you, but will fight for you. You became an heir of the promise when you accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord. Jesus is your hope, your salvation, your refuge, and your strength. He will never let you down, but will always fight for you. Let’s pray: Father, thank you for being everything I need. Help me go the extra mile and show the love of Jesus Christ to everyone I meet.
